This thing looks like it’s moving when it’s standing still. Meet the 2019 Vantage, by Aston Martin. This sexy sleek car not only looks quick; it is. REAL quick. It is powered by a 503 Horsepower AMG twin turbo 4.0 Litre monster that can also be found in the Mercedes-AMG C63 S range and the GLC63 S coupe SUV. Behind the engine sits the quick-shifting eight-speed ZF transaxle. The Vantage explodes to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and the exhaust note raps an almost machine gun like scream. Aston Martin claims that the car is bored until you hit about 195 MPH. That’s crazy folks.
The Vantage has had it’s eye on the Porsche 911 for its 12 year existence, and it's getting real close to blowing right past it stealing the 911’s title of the gentlemen’s quintessential sportscar. The Vantage keeps up in the turns and straightaways with ease. Porsche had better get of the couch for 2019 or there may be a new king in town.

There are only 2 areas reported where the Vantage could use a little TLC. Other than the infotainment system (also supplied by Mercedes) the interior seems to have been an afterthought. The gauge cluster is crowded and the center console has a multitude of teenie-weenie buttons. The other common complaint is that although the car is dialed in for the track, it is a bit rough on the street. If you’re not careful you’ll bonk your head on the steering wheel as the brakes are super touchy at city speeds. It’s also a rough ride if you're on anything less than fresh asphalt.
All things considered, I certainly wouldn't kick it out of my bed for eating cookies. This car habit is getting expensive. Now I have to put aside ANOTHER $106,125 so I can get one of THESE now too.
