William "CHIP" Lamb
A lifelong enthusiast of all things mechanical, Chip is regarded by many as the epicenter of knowledge of what's happening in the classic collectible and investment-grade vehicle marketplace. He has long served the hobby independently and as a contractor for many businesses. He has worked in the role of a broker, dealer, parts vendor, journalist and licensed professional auctioneer.
He’s equally at home standing on the auction block selling a million dollar car or twisting a wrench on a Saab Sonnet III.
Throughout his varied career, he has worn almost every hat in the collector car auction world, from catalog description writer to car specialist, from announcer to auctioneer and even as a full partner in a well-known collector car auction company.
He has also worked to educate hobbyists and professionals alike in seminars such as this one as well as leading collector car insurance continuing education classes
all over the United States. Chip's support of the hobby also saw him serving as primary parts vendor to the General Motors Heritage Collection as well as thousands
of individual collectors trying to keep their special cars on the road.
His reputation as the go-to guy for solid advice, information and sound judgement stems from being an expert trader who has brought hundreds, if not thousands, of classics and buyers together. He has earned their trust with straight forward honesty and strong service skills.
